At Assumption School we offer the benefits of a values based Catholic education consisting of small class sizes on our safe, secure neighborhood campus.
Your child is educated by Connecticut certified teachers who are dedicated to helping each child to succeed. Our students regularly test above grade level and enter high school well prepared for the challenges ahead.
Every classroom including the library has an interactive white board used daily throughout our curriculum. All classrooms have wireless high speed internet access along with projectors connected to each teacher’s laptop computer. In addition to 3 unit computer stations in each classroom, we have a complete, state of the art computer lab in which our dedicated technology teacher provides our students with the tools needed to excel in the modern day world.
Our students have both a Girl & Boy Scout troop based at our school led by active, involved parents. Students are provided the opportunity to join our band program. Many of our students perform with the All-State band and provide our families with wonderful performances on a regular basis.
Our quiet, neighborhood campus consists of an enclosed playscape area for younger children, a full size soccer field on the rear lawn, and a safe, paved area with no vehicle traffic on which to play basketball, four square and other games.
Our Home/School Association provides year round activities and functions for both the students and parents. The continuously expanding children’s events feature Halloween parties, Breakfast with Santa, Easter egg hunts and a school-wide Field Day to just name a few. Our parents are treated to many specialty theme dinners prepared in our own kitchen, comedy nights and a celebrity hosted fund raising auction featuring a wine tasting event.
Our administration believes that all families that desire to provide their child with the benefit of an education at Assumption School should be able to. The administration offers various levels of tuition aid to families in need of financial assistance. A private scholarship fund is also available to qualifying families.
Before and After school extended day programs allow our working parents to have their children remain on the campus after dismissal without the concern of transportation to a separate after care facility.
